Sometimes we think that volunteering only benefits those who are receiving the work, but this simply isn't the case. Volunteer work, when chosen correctly, can sometimes be more rewarding for the volunteer, but this all depends on whether or not you choose the correct volunteer opportunity.

Figure out your interests! If you're doing what you love, there is no way you won't have a fulfilling experience in your volunteer work! For instance, if you love working with the elderly, or are considering a career in the health care or care-giving field, our nursing home is the place for you!

Avamere Riverpark of Eugene is in need of volunteers with our seniors in many capacities. Entertaining residents, helping with animals and cleaning up around the facility are a few of the things we need help with at our senior community.
